Shandong Langrui Company uses a YE3-355-4, 315KW
three-phase asynchronous motor to analyze the fault when it cannot operate normally.
315KW motor technical parameters:
Motor Model: YE3-355-4
Rated Power: 315KW
Frequency: 50HZ
Rated Voltage: 380/660V
Rotation Speed: 1480rpm,
Protection Class:IP55
Power Factor:0.89
Insulation Grade:F

When a 315KW three-phase AC motor fails to operate normally, to repair it, it must be inspected according to certain steps, that is, several tests must be carried out systematically to find the root cause of the fault. After these tests, the repairman can determine whether the motor only needs minor repairs or whether part or all of the windings need to be rewound.
Inspection steps:
(1) Check the condition of the motor parts, such as whether the end cover is cracked, whether the shaft is twisted, whether the contacts are burned or broken, etc.
(2) Check the bearing condition, shake the shaft up and down, if the shaft feels loose, it means that the bearing is damaged. Then turn the rotor by hand to see if the rotor runs smoothly. If the shaft rotates abnormally, it means that there may be a problem with the bearing part, or it may be caused by the bending of the shaft or poor assembly. At this time, no matter what the root cause is, when the motor is connected to the power supply, it is likely to cause the fuse to burn out.
(3) Check the internal wiring of the motor to see if there is any contact between the coil and the rotor and stator. This test is called the ground test.
(4) When the rotor runs smoothly, connect the motor to the power supply and close the switch for a few seconds. If there is a problem inside the motor, it is likely that the fuse will burn out; the winding will smoke; it will rotate slowly; it will make noise or not move. This phenomenon often indicates that the winding has a problem or has burned out. In this case, you need to remove the end cover and carefully check the winding parts inside the motor. If the winding is severely burned, it can be judged from the appearance of the winding.
After checking the above steps, you can basically determine the part where the fault is. Then further check the part to find out the fault location and make corresponding repairs.
